BCC rider hit

 On Sunday Kathy Cooke was hit by a car and severely injured.

Last night Ron Cooke provided this information:

Kathy was hit by a car while biking Sunday. She was taken to Mt. View ICU who had her flown to El Paso Trauma Center. She is in a medically induced coma with an array of injuries – fractured skull, traumatic brain injury, broken pelvis, several broken ribs, both lungs collapsed, two broken clavicles, broken wrist, broken hand, facial injuries including left eye and nose. They have her stabilized and will be running various X-rays, scans and tests. It will be a few days before we know how bad some of this.

Hit and run? 

Praying for Kathy. Always devastating when this sort of thing happens, and especially in our own backyard.

Don't know if it was a hit and run or not.  Kathy had fallen behind the main Bike and Chowder Club group and was by herself.  Nobody in the group saw the accident, and the Sheriff's Department has not released any details.
