Dear all,
The African Centre for Epistemology and Philosophy of Science (ACEPS) at the University of Johannesburg invites applications for a stipendiary postdoctoral fellowship (ZAR 20 000 per month tax free) starting either 1 October 2023 or 1 January 2024 renewable for 2 years.

The candidate will:
- have obtained their PhD in Philosophy
- have an excellent academic record
- work in any of the centre’s core areas—epistemic decolonisation, epistemic oppression, African epistemology or philosophy of science, and the epistemology of the internet/ AI,
- be expected to be present in person at ACEPS and actively contribute to its vibrant life
- be expected to publish 2 journal articles a year
Teaching and supervising are optional.
