Strange message

Hi Simone

I recently keep getting the following message when I try to insert a rtf file into a scene. Not sure what Im doing wrong?

The attachment is only a small section of the text.

Usually it's something like emoji, which don't play well with copy/paste

Thanks for the quick reply Simon. There aren't any emojis in the text but there are some tabs. Anyway, I'll dig deeper and see if I can find something.

You're welcome to email me a sample of the text in a zip file offlist.  I can run ywriter in the debugger and catch the issue.

It might be utf16 instead of utf8 unicode, for example.

I just saved it as MDos to strip out all the crap and it worked ok.

If you paste into notepad first it'll convert it to plain text. Then you can convert from there.

You can also try pasting into one of the alternate boxes on a blank scene in yWriter, in the Raw Markup tab. May or may not work - it might just show you a load of code, in which case delete it again or don't click 'Store'
