Losing work progress

Hi! Not sure how this works. I have been using yWriter for a few years and really liked it, but for some reason this week as I've opened various works, I've noticed that a lot of progress is missing. Which is fine for most, but one project had about 300k words and now only has about 120k.

I never deleted anything and I haven't done anything to any files on my laptop. Is there any way I can recover that work? Or is it lost forever?

yWriter is pretty good at storing regular backups, but the first thing I need to do is ask a couple of questions about your project.

Are you using the old YW5 format, or the new YW7 project format?

Is the project loading off a local drive or the cloud?
