You are forgiven if you don’t know Marllen, the superstar from Mozambique. Europeans have divided you into worlds: Lusophone, Francophone, Anglophone, Italophone. Arabs added their own divisions—Arabophone. Instead of creating only Afrophone, we live in different worlds, in clusters that separate us. Well, let us go to Mozambique and you listen to a different kind of music, similar in some ways to what you get in parts of Brazil.
