vasiSTha’s Search for Seclusion; A vidyAdharI’s Song; Her World inside a Block of Stone; and Her Husband, Creator God brAhmA - vasiSTha seeks a secluded place in the universe where he makes tapas for a hundred-years. (y7056) Awakening, he hears the sound of a woman singing and seeks her thru creation, a network of alternate realities. (y7059-60) The song is from a beautiful vidyadhari who grieves because her ascetic, brAhmaNa husband is uninterested in her. She describes their world inside a block of stone. (y7064-66) vasiSTha and the vidyAdharI awaken the husband, a brAhmaNa who is the creator god brAhmA, who explains that she is an aspect of his own creation and that creation is about to dissolve. (y7069-70). – Palotas.

*Venk.37-38 The rains came. Every drop of that rain was like a thunderbolt. These raindrops filled the entire space. They fell with such force that they destroyed whatever was left of the universe. The whole sky was one mass of water. The rain put out the fires and reached the earth-plane.

*Venk.39 The waters of this extraordinary and supernatural rain mixed with the fires that were still burning. The two could not defeat or conquer each other, and hence they were ill-matched enemies (because their equal prowess made the conflict interminable and inconclusive). They were of great strength and power. Therefore, their collision was extremely fearsome to witness.

*VLMitra.39. All the sides of heaven resounded to the mingled clatter of hailstone and fire brands, falling down simultaneously from the comingled clouds of dire and dreadful appearance; and the scene all around was as diresome to behold, as the mingled warfare of two dreadful forces, with dire arms and commingled bloodshed.
