$88 missing

Hi, all.

I’m with Liz now collecting the money from the cash box, and there’s a discrepancy of $88 from the 3/23 show and the 3/24 show. There is a performance report, but no envelope from the night of 3/23. Did any of you make a reimbursement to someone, or see if a venue manager miscounted?

I wasn't on FOH 3/23, so unsure whether anything happened there. They did put $55 in the safe though, so should the discrepancy be $33? (200-167?)

On the Saturday matinee, Anisa and I double-counted the money and agreed, but if she said something about the discrepancy, it didn't register: we were pretty swamped at the box office that show.

3/23 was opening night, correct? I have a pretty clear memory of the venue manager putting money in an envelope that night, though I don’t know whether it totalled $88, and I don’t know where she put it.

Just to clarify, not pointing fingers. I was Box Office managing, and I remember $55 as the number we made. I know Steph was working that night, and I trust her completely. I was just wondering if anyone had lent money for the cash box or if anyone had reimbursed someone directly.

Hi Guys,

 I just checked around and in the safe again, no luck.

I cannot find an envelope with $55. dollars in it. Hence $255.-$167= $88 

Who put the envelope in the safe the evening of 3/23? 

Elena, you and Anisa counted the starting bank on 4/24 at 2pm and can vouch there was $167? 

I'm just going with the facts here and I cannot find the envelope from 3/23. There's also no performance report for the last show, so there really isn't a record of the last performance on 4/1. 

Big picture:

I'm going to make sure the box office trail is fixed going forward so this confusion doesn't happen again.

Unfortunately I can't remember what the exact amount was, I was on the front of house team almost every night and it all ran together! We did double-count, though.

The lack of a performance report for the 4/1 show is because the venue manager didn't show up - I don't know whether the BO manager (Michaela, I think?) kept track of the drop count or starting cash. Because of the missing VM we got the cash box open late, and were pretty overwhelmed trying to sell and take tickets.
