Astronomy Night in Naches, Saturday 6-8 pm

Hello everyone, 

Our Astronomy Night event in partnership with the Yakima Valley Libraries is coming up this Saturday, October 12. The event runs from 6-8 pm at the Naches High School football field. 

The library is doing a great job of advertising the event (it was in the Yakima Herald the other day) and the weather is looking great, so we are expecting a good turnout. 

If you are planning to bring a telescope to share with the public, let us know by replying to this message so we have an idea of how many instruments to expect. I plan to arrive by 5:30 to set-up. 

It may also be helpful to have a few extra folks on hand to help direct folks and answer questions, so if you do not have a telescope but are still willing to help out, we'd love to have you join us.

Hello! Enrique here, new to the group. I can bring an 8 inch Dobsonian. It has the Starsense explorer so it’s easy to find things.

My mount is in for repair and will not be back in time.  However,  I plan to bring a regular photography tripod,  my camera,  various lenses,  as well as my Redcat-51.  We should be able to show people it doesn't take a lot to enter the hobby.
