Good afternoon sailors & volunteers!
This Sunday we will kick off our 2023 Y-Knot Sailing season! Please make sure to take note of the schedule details below as they have been updated for the 2023 season.
We ask any participants, family members, or volunteers to stay home if they are feeling at all sick or exhibiting symptoms of covid-19. We will once again be providing dockside lunch for sailors and volunteers and will have a water jug available, so be sure to bring a water bottle!
This coming weekend we have a regular sailing day on Sunday 7/2 and we will be only using Martin 16s for this week. Please check to see if your name is listed below if you are planning to attend, we can only take the sailors registered. Also, if you have RSVP-ed and can no longer attend, please be sure to cancel your spot to make room for other sailors.
Volunteers – We could alwaysuse more help!! Please RSVP
here if you
are able to make it. As a reminder for volunteers: if you
have not yet done so, please make sure to fill out your
online volunteer forms before Sunday! Our YMCA
has updated its policy for all volunteers, and everyone must annually fill out volunteer forms – a code of conduct agreement, a risk waiver, and a background check (which CDYMCA pays for). This needs
to be done
online before the first day you
plan to volunteer - there are notes next to your name if you still need to do this. It is very simple to sign up and this policy
is intended for the safety and well-being of everyone involved. Please let me know if you
have questions!

Better Together, we're Building a Stronger Community
Hello Bill,
I tried sending a thank you note earlier through the main e-mail program on my phone but I'm not sure if my e-mail messages go through so if this is redundant apologies but I just wanted to thank you again for sailing with me and making that happen along with all of the other volunteers and the camp members and participants that make the sailing possible it's wonderful and I'm so grateful. Eric Rose is going to be representing America and using his most feisty and skillful engineering knowledge to try to bring home some medals from beautiful Montreal next [following] weekend. I think you're going to need to give him some tips Sunday so that he can get us a win with our Canadian friends at the Coup de Quebec-- please excuse my terrible French.

I very much enjoyed the sailing today with Dave Whelan. Perfect conditions, 6-10 kts Southerly with hardly any powerboat chop!
Thanks to all who made this possible.
