Mr. N.Byravan – Admirable Man of many talents:
I came into contact with him in early 1980’s when he was handling maintenance of Soap factory, Sewri. In early 90’s when I returned to Sewri, he was in Buying of Engineering goods. Post his retirement, he was coordinating and managing the Statutory approvals, liaising with around 20 odd departments for many projects in Pondicherry. Later, out of his personal drive, he was involved in transforming a slum in Chennai, and documented the project in a book titled “A Slum No More”. I have been in regular touch with him and last met him and his wife Ms Parvathy, daughter Dr. Sujatha & Son In Law Dr .Sunder, at his Chennai residence, about three years ago.
Let’s pray for this great soul.

Dear friends,
I just got a call from Mrs. Byravan yesterday afternoon conveying the sad information that Mr. Byravan had passed away . I t seems the message I sent immediately has not gone so it is being resent
He was suffering from Parkinson’s disease for some time now , affecting his mobility--
He was admitted to Ramchandra Medical College Hospital as his sodium levels went out of control where he passed away due to a heart attack . They tried but were not able to resurrect him .
Byravan was one of the pillars of Bombay factory. He looked after Services and with acute water shortages at that time he came up with innovative steps to arrange supplies and keep the factory going. It was a matter of pride for him.
He later moved to Purchasing an equally tough job as supplies were short.
A reliable friend he always came to ones help. Over the years he has kept in touch enquiring of ones well-being. We will miss him
May God give his wife Parvathi the strength to bear the great loss. May his soul rest in peace.

He was very active on “xlevers” group as he was providing good amount of information on the prevailing interesting subjects and humorous maters too. Wish his soul to rest in eternal peace.
