I'm trying to use XDress to wrap a third-party library provided by National Instruments (NI-DAQmx Base). They provide a header file. I set up a simple XDress config file, but it gives the following error when running `xdress --verbose`:

autoall: discovering API names
autoall: searching include/NIDAQmxBase.h
Typedef: int8, [], ['typedef']
  TypeDecl: int8, []
    IdentifierType: ['signed', 'char']
ERROR: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'startswith'

I'm a but unsure what to do here. I'm new to XDress (I have looked at it in the past so I may have a post or two on this forum from a couple years ago, but never got around to actually using it), so I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but couldn't find it in the documentation.

For reference, the repo is at https://github.com/bburan/PyDAQmxBase. I'm wondering if the error is related to parsing https://github.com/bburan/PyDAQmxBase/blob/master/include/NIDAQmxBase.h#L59

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Brad

Hi Brad,

Sorry for the slow response.  Xdress is unsupported currently as I have too many other things on my plate. Hopefully someone else can answer this question, or better still, someone is interested in taking over the project.

Be Well
