Problems in implemtinng xAct in Windows 10

Hi there,

I am finding it difficult to install xAct in windows. I just copied and pasted the xAct files in  C:Users\Appdata\Roaming\Matematica\Applications\, but when I try to load xAct in Mathematica using "Needs", its not working. Please help me with this issue.

PS : I am using Mathematica 11

Hi!

The xAct folder should be in the Appdata\Roaming\Mathematica\Applications folder, not the files...
Hence, if your username is MyUserName, have installed it correctly and look in the folder
C:\Users\MyUserName\AppData\Roaming\Mathematica\Applications\xAct
you should find files like
ExpressionManipulation.m
and folders like
xTensor

In Mathematica you can find which folders the xAct folder can be placed in with the $Path command.

When you have placed the files in the correct folder, you should be able to load xAct with
Needs["xAct`xTensor`"]
or
<< xAct`xTensor`

Observe that the delimiters are not ' nor ´, they are `.
