Happy Solstice all!

Howdy y'all --

Whether you managed to make it to our Friday night gathering or not, Happy Solstice and other appropriate seasonal greetings. I've been into Mithraic studies myself (in the footsteps of MLK I guess) and they too had the Dec 25th thing. So: happy that!  Being inclusive in a cosmopolitan town (Slabtown, Rose City, Stumptown, Bridge City...).

I've been working on a blog post about it, trying to wrap it in a big ball of history, thinking of newcomers to my blog who might wanna get oriented vis-a-vis some of the recurring themes:
