Hi

Openroute and graphhopper  proposes routing features as wtracks help display

OpenRoute:
This key is used for the (i) computing point and track elevation, and (ii) routing feature, which draws tracks along map roads. Get your free API key/token from OpenRoute Service.

GraphHopper:
This key is used for the routing feature, which draws tracks along map roads. Get your API key from GraphHopper.

I created the following trace but if I select "openroute" and do the same next with "graphopper" API the data displayed in the bottom part of the screen are still the same (Diatance, Time, Alt, Climbing, Descent)

Question: Should the data be different and route calculated different too ?

Remark : Get elevation don't work as I see within the console a Google Key expired - https://www.dropbox.com/s/p791z8ebxehnjd0/Screenshot%202021-05-28%20at%2009.11.39.png?dl=0. How can we fix that ?

Cheers

Charles

Both services may return the same track, this is why you see same stats on the bottom of the screen.
You may use the service you want.
For elevation to work, you need to set the api key for openeroute or Google.

This is because wtracks uses an expired api key to display Google maps, a key is needed but it works with this one.
For elevation it will use your own key, be it google or openrouter. If both are set Google is used (higher quality).

I enabled the Google Elevation API (= elevation-backend.googleapis.com service) but all the responses that Google got are in error.
Is it because the service is not available anymore for free  https://www.dropbox.com/s/unkuorf9fuyjb3v/Screenshot%202021-05-31%20at%2012.25.07.png?dl=0 ?

Did you copy in WTracks settings the API key generated in Google "API and Services" / "Credentials"?
Did you configure restrictions on the key (Application or API)? Remove restrtictions at least to test and see whether this could be the cause of the problem.
In the dev tools, you should see the calls to google elevation service (this is firefox but chrome or safari can show it too):

I dont see such network traffic after clicking on elevation using the tool: https://www.dropbox.com/s/swultp2uaqckysv/Screenshot%202021-06-01%20at%2009.08.03.png?dl=0

No elevation graph is calculated if I only select openroute. What should we do then ?
Can you also document which Google Service we must select if we want to get the elevation data from data ?
