Hi Wrens!
We will skip rehearsal next week on 3/22, but convene again on 3/29 at 12:30, Oliver's house.  THe  St James choir crew will be singing for Palm Sunday that day.  Please let us know if you think our start time for rehearsal needs to be a little later, if your Palm Sunday service is likely to run long.  Looks like, per our Wresnong calendar, we will have everyone available on 3/29.  After this we will be will be missing a few members for a few weeks in April.  Also, Easter Sunday (April 5), I am not available.

I would like to rehearse the following on 3/29:
  • Gloria from the Mass, especially focusing on the last half that we didn't get to at last rehearsal.
  • Le Chant Des Oyseaux, all 3 verses, and we will start learning the final 4th verse!
  • April is in My Mistress' Face  (Oliver conducts)
  • O Primavera  (Oliver conducts)
  • The Bluebird, if we have time

Finally, I have been trying to coordinate a second concert date for Wilder Library in June, after our Beaver Meadow Chapel concert on 6/14.  Wilder Library doesn't really have night time hours, but Wed-Thurs-Fri they are open 2:00-6:00. (I am focusing on a weeknight- there are some conflicts during weekends)  I have contacted Jane Powell, my POC for this concert, to ask whether they have any restrictions on when we might perform.  I am looking at a possibility of a 4:30 concert on one of these weeknights, likely during the last 2 weeks of June.  Would this work for you folks?  Any thoughts, preferences?

Let me know!

Anne

At the moment, I could be available at 4:30 any weeknight the last 2 weeks in June.

Hi, Anne,

Is there any possibility of our being able to give an evening concert, even if the Wilder Library is not typically open at that time? 4:30 pm on on a weekday in summer seems like it will be a tough sell.

If our only options are Weds-Thurs-Fri 2-6 pm, I would vote for Friday, and also suggest we may want to consider other venues. I do see on the calendar that already one person (Annie) can’t make either Friday June 16 or 26, though.

Hi y'All,
I’m missing my spiral-bound book of madrigals that we use as our madrigal resource. It’s signed...

I agree with Franny that a weekday 4:30 concert might be hard to draw a crowd for…. Would they agree to a 5:00 or 5:30 start, and stay open an extra 30 minutes?

Correction - The Fridays in June are the 19th (not 16th) and 26th.

Thanks, Bill. I was asking about the time because Anne raised the question about Palm Sunday services running long.

The length of service could be a problem, even at St. Bs.
