I see grammars about Wren today.
I want to put some (a large amount of) new grammars in Wren, and some of them seems quite unacceptable for others.
So I'm planning about fork the language and make a new branch.
I just wonder if that is legal and acceptable before I take move.
If you don't mind, then the new language will be named Wrenx or Wren#.
I will try to make it can run almost all Wren code.
Thanks.

Yes, like Michel says Wren is fully open source with a very permissive license, so you are free to fork it and do as you wish with it.

To avoid confusing users, it's probably best to give it a name different enough from Wren so that they understand the two languages aren't entirely compatible with each other. Even if Wrenx runs all code, Wren won't run all Wrenx code, so people may still be confused. Mentioning that it's based on Wren is of course totally OK. :)

Cheers!
