Thanks for that. She sounds like somebody I would’ve liked.

I worked in a job printing shop that had a handful of letterpresses, as well as a couple offset machines, right up until I got my draft notice.

I got to see expert Linotype operators at work, and set some hand type myself. My boss bought out several other shops when they closed, and had a fascinating collection of type as a result.
