Max Von Sydow, sent to kill Robert Redford
in Six Days of the Condor, dead from "natural
causes" at age 90.

I just watched that movie a couple of weeks ago on laserdisc. (Yes, people still collect that antique format)

Viva LaserDisc!  There’s still a few movies that have never been released digitally that I have on LD:  Let It Be, Kafka

Cheers,

Paul

And there are some that LD is the only way to enjoy some films…..the Star Wars Trilogy in its unaltered form (rather than that pathetic DVD release from 06)

That is extremely cool!!!

I only have two DiscoVisions – Let It Be and the Fleetwood Mac documentary.

Do you still have a Helium/Neon player for those?

My LD-660 still runs – I used it to transfer Let It Be: http://theidealcopy.blogspot.com/2016/05/let-it-be-note-about-transferring-old.html

I have an LD-660 from 83 and an CLD-V2400.  I have The Four Seasons, Night Hawks, a badly rotted copy of Melvin and Howard, and two Disney discs on DiscoVision (At Home with Donald Duck and On Vacation with Mickey Mouse and Friends)

I had a copy of Let it Be I bought several years ago in a Laserdisc lot for $75.  Resold Let it Be by itself for $100.  Even though the disc was shipped padded with “FRAGILE” marked all over it, the USPS still managed to destroy it in transit.  I had the hindsight to insure it so didn’t lose any money on it.

I have a tendency to go to Half Price Books in the DFW area as they always have some interesting discs.
