Tonight's episode is the beginning of the one week
that Mike Richards, the former executive producer,
hosted the show after being chosen to replace
Art Fleming.

So they'll broadcast this week and then, umm,
well, something or another.

Spoiler (rot-13):

Wbuaal Tvyoreg qvq, vaqrrq,
vagebqhpr uvz nf "gur ubfg
bs Wrbcneql!", abg "thrfg ubfg".

We do know the "something or other": Mayim Bialik did three weeks of shows, and after that it will be other guest hosts (names to be announced) until further notice.

For this season, they also "refreshed" the theme song and the set backdrops, and they now have the category name onscreen, along with the text of the clue, throughout the 30 seconds of Final Jeopardy!.

Update: "Jeopardy!" has announced that either Mayim Bialik or Ken Jennings will be hosting each week "until the end of the year," which means the rest of 2021 (some sites have reported they'll be the hosts for the entire season, but that's not what the official announcement says).

Meanwhile, I've still got my fingers crossed that
they'll give Alfred Matthew "Weird Al" Yankovic
a tryout.

And Art Fleming would approve!
