I see, at long last, that a cable channel is airing "Nutcracker: The Movie" (1986) this year.
It's going to be on "HDNET Movies" starting Monday, Dec. 2. This is the production with set
design and costumes by MAURICE SENDAK (!).
It used to have regular holiday airings in Kansas City, by a station that, curiously, wasn't
on the local cable system.
