Could you and the legacy networks be any more dismissive of
A Key Cultural Icon?

What'cha doing next year? Newsmax? OANN?

Scripps-owned Ion is different than anything Lowell "Bud" Paxson put on the air -- it's mostly reruns of "NCIS" and other procedurals.

It actually makes the bee more accessible than its previous home of ESPN, since Ion is available over-the-air in much of the country, and is available on the basic lineup of pretty much every cable and satellite service.

I wouldn't mind them quite so much if they'd run the _REAL_ MacGuyver
instead of that pale imitation wannabee...

The Ion affiliate here is in the southern part of the market, licensed to Akron (where I live). It is by far the easiest digital signal for me to receive - pumping out a million watts of power from about 5 miles away.

It's also the former TV sister station of our radio station. About once a month in the newsroom, we got a call from a confused older person asking for us to send a camera crew somewhere...

The only thing I remember about PAX is that they aired a suspiciously Australian-looking Bonanza prequel called "Ponderosa".

Wasn't that the alternative name used for Bonanza when both "new"
episodes were still being produced and aired at the same
time "original" ones were being rerun?

(ditto, if my aging memory has any functioning left,
for "Emergency" and "Emergency One")?
