There was a loud hum that went out over the air when using CD Low. Sounds like a loose ground somewhere. The gain was way down on the physical media pots. I adjusted those accordingly

The pot assigned to Aux 1 appears dead, the DJ after me found out the hard way and switched to Aux 3

There was a cable plugged into the output and another into the input at aux1. If they tried playing music into the output that could explain the results.

When I got here Friday evening aux 1 was fine. (well, as fine as it ever is).

Now that new Molly total album called so long little Miss sunshine is a fine album, but there are it is a little derivative at times. One of the songs starts off of a complete rip off of early Pink Floyd for which is just sort of weird in the middle of a country pop album and then this story of my so-called life made me think of this which I’m sure it’s family.

Just for grins I’ll leave that voice recognition stuff in.

Anyhow, what I suspect, the problem is there are two pairs of RCA jacks and both of them had cables connected, but only the top one is actually aux one. I disconnected the cable from the lower pair of jacks and put it aside.

I also reset the board to the default profile.

Humming and in/out right/left - it kicks back in ok when u move it a bit wires were knotted up..

I was here for the day and
I cleaned up studio c - dusted and organized and tossed trash and put up some festive lps to enjoy while u all dj.

Merry Xmas - will be back friday w my vacuum - just a thpught can we have the janitors do a quick clean/vacuum on studio c? Otherwise my tristy dyson will do some this weekend.

I meant to send this Wednesday:

The RCA cable had a bad channel, I swapped it out for one in the tech closet and it works now 👍🏼

Also unplugged everything and plugged it in again— I think some of the hum/buzz is from a poor ground connection. It gets better/worse depending on the distance to the power strip.

Just Fyi - I vacuumed and cleaned up Studio C for a couple hours as I did my show…. It looks nice and is more comfortable to work in. The dust bunnies were likely from 1982. Max added an extension to plug in Devices too, thanks Max

Theres still a bit of hum when using the turntable.

Also just an idea for ops team can we remove or relocate the reel to reel so there is more table space. Doubtful that any dj is still using that?
