Sophomore year of college.

Took the E line with my roommate to gov't center.

Got off the T... and as I was walking out something blew into my hair. I thought it was just a strong gust of wind.

I turned around to see where my roommate was, only to see her with a horified look on her face.

"Lauren what's wrong?"

"Do you know what just happened to you, Alex?"

"No..."

"A pigeon's wing just got tangled in your hair."

So gross.

I feel like I need to wash my hair just thinking about it.

I've had fun at Govt Center. From the first Patriots Super Bowl Victory Rally, where Ty Law taught Mr. Kraft how to dance to Menino introducing Local Natives at Bosto Calling last year, the one constant is 1. Drunk high school and college kids love to jump up and down and 2. Old, rich, white guys can still be cool.

Throughout my career at Boston College, boarding an inbound train at the end of the B Line meant countless, monotonous reminders that this train's destination was Government Center. On the return trip, I'd wait in that dingy subterranean lair for what seemed like hours, hoping for the correctly lettered train to arrive. Now what, MBTA? Now what?
