Hi,

Microsoft announced to disable basic authentication (username + password) in favor of modern authentication using OAuth2.
At least one of our customers is using Wildfly 10 with IMAP configured to access a postbox hosted on Office365. Others only use SMTP for sending mails which will further support Basic Authentication.
Jakarta Mail / Java Mail supports OAuth2: https://eclipse-ee4j.github.io/mail/OAuth2

How could IMAP work integrated in Wildfly 10 ff ?

Hey,

you should be able to configure that by using "custom" session type in configuration of mail subsystem.
This allows you to specify all the javamail properties directly, see https://wildscribe.github.io/WildFly/10.1/subsystem/mail/mail-session/custom/index.html
