ITE Grant - FREE Opportunities for Educators and Students

Greetings Computer Science Educators! 

 

The Wisconsin DPI Information Technology Education (ITE) Grant offers FREE industry-recognized certifications in areas such as cloud computing, data analytics, cyber security, and A.I. 

 

The ITE Grant also supports FREE educator professional development, and other computer science education resources.  

 

This past spring, the ITE Grant supported a successful pilot which provided free Certiport IT Specialist certification exam vouchers, and free Learn Key/GMetrix practice tests. A teacher involved in this pilot commented as follows. 

“I really appreciate the opportunity to give my students this opportunity.  For many students, this opened their eyes to what a career in IT will entail” – Teacher, Bayport High School

You are formally invited to this year’s Wisconsin CS Summit! 

 

Your CSTA Wisconsin-Dairyland is planning a great PD day for you on Tuesday November 11 at UW-Stevens Point.  You can find all details including session topics, tentative schedule, cost, etc., here:  https://community.csteachers.org/cstawisconsindairyland/home .  We are encouraging all participants to become CSTA members.   As a CSTA member, you will have a reduced cost of $25 and non-members will pay $50.  Please submit the Google Form on our website to register for the event.  You can pay by either credit card, Paypal, Venmo or check.  If paying by check, please make payable to CSTA Wisconsin-Dairyland and bring with you to the event.

 

We would also like to invite everyone to a pre-conference social on Monday November 10 from 6:30-8:30pm.   Please join us for food, drinks, and networking.  More details on a Stevens Point location will be coming soon.  Hotel information is also posted on the website.  

 

Please share this invite with other teachers, counselors, and administrators in your district that would like to learn more about computer science.  We will have sessions for all K-12 grade levels.
