Hi Karli--
I've just implemented the auto-venue notification emails. To use it:
- Make sure venues you want to be included have emails assigned. You can do this on the Venues page by editing the entries.
- On the Venues => Venue Notification Templates page, set the "Auto-notify Weeks" to the number of weeks before the event you want the notifications to go out.

- I also recommend you turn on the Settings option to CC you on outgoing notification emails so you'll get a copy of the email:
