Can you post the change log for the October Update?  Is this a critical update similar to the September one?  I have not seen any issues with the September version but I have noticed a number of issues with the NOAA FTP site when importing weather data.  It sometimes takes 2-3 attempts to download all of the data.  It seems to be on the NOAA side.  Perhaps the server is maxing out.  It will freeze during a download and sometimes will skip an entire year.  When I go back and do it again I can usually fill in the holes.  My stundets are having simlar issues, but it appears to be on the NOAA side.

We will post a summary of the updates. Can you give me specific examples with the issues you are having

a.       Is it GSOD stations? In what State?

b.      Are you downloading precip data, weather data, both?

c.       Any other related information would be useful

The one that was giving me issues was the Ft. Wayne (725330) Airport in Indiana.  I was able to get most of the data but I noticed that there were a lot of FTP server errors created in the command display pop up boxes.  It would try on its own a couple of times and eventually it would go through.  I assumed that this was a NOAA server timeout issue.  I got theses errors with all data types (weather, solar, precip).

A few years are missing, but I do not think that was really a big deal overall.

Some of my students seem to have hit a brick wall getting WetBud to work at all.  However, I suspect that they have a company firewall that is blocking access to the FTP sites.

It would be helpful if there was a list of IPs or URLs that should be white-listed.  The larger companies almost always have this issue.  The workaround is to use a less secure internet connection like at home.  However, this limits WetBud's use in a business setting.
