Anyone ride today? How were the roads? I am thinking of riding tomorrow to about cabin fever.

Harrison route into the city is sloppy but not too slippery. Bike lanes are hit or miss so plenty of street riding. Plan on your bike and boots getting covered in filthy, salty slush. The trail at the south end of Columbus Park has been plowed except the low area where they poured gravel last fall. Harrison is open by the post office, which was news to me. Shining sun, manageable temp, and a nice tail wind.

Bike lane in Columbus Park was cleared but covered in places with snow drift; the drifts are bikable with knobby tires. Madison was pretty good. Bike lane along Washington by United Center is unusable plus there is a big puddle that froze as white ice. Bike lane along Washington on the downhill from Wacker has ice patches.

Not too much of a problem with front and rear studded tires with small knobs. Having a tailwind with studded tires is great.
