Please Recommend a good Architect

We are looking into expending the attic: build the staircase to the third floor, build dormers on the roof for bigger space, plan the layout of the rooms.

Please recommend a good architect for the project.

I'm currently working with a great architect who might be ideal for your project.  She's working on a garage/study/mudroom project for us and we've been very happy with her.

She was a pleasure to work with during the design phase and now that we're in construction, she's incredibly thorough. She visits the site every week or two and checks on the progress and then sends me detailed reports of her conversation with the builder. She is very open to questions, recommendations for change, etc. And I find her fees are very reasonable. 

Her name is Nancy Allison and her email is nanew...@comcast.net.

And if you're looking for a builder, I have a great one! He is very competent, clean and thorough. He has taken care of everything, including things he wasn't hired for (like accepting appliance deliveries and installing a new microwave while we were at work!). I looked at a few contractors and he had amazing references and I would not hesitate to recommend him. Also, he's been in the business for a long time and is now towards the end of his career so he only works on one project at a time. That has been incredibly valuable because we feel like we have his full attention.
