Cat C-175 Head for Tier 3 engines

Fellow Port Engineers,
We are urgently in need of a Cat C-175 Head, either reman or new. The kicker is it is a EPA Tier 3 and Cat has at least (4) of them in the world but they keep them in Australia. Trouble is the boat is in Oakland, CA and getting parts from there to here is another story based on the pandemic issues, global warming, or other current issues we are all getting from vendors. Presently we have no ETA on delivery and vessel is down.

This is still a great tool to have in your box. Shortly after sending this Tim at Signet hooked us up with his protected spares and vendor (Holt Cat) to get us what we needed and headed this way. About the same time, Ed at Western offered his spares. I really appreciate what we set up and have not maintained for a few years, is still working well. I wish I had equipment that ran as good! Thanks Tim and Ed, I look forward to paying it forward someday.
On a sad note, we are attending Jim Geddes funeral today. Jim was member of this group early on and was a great port engineer and friend. He worked at Sause Brothers Long Beach for many years. He will be missed at Sause and by all his friends in our community.
