Splitting rain and rainrate into two plots

Is there a way to generate two separate plots: one

for rainfall and one for rainfall rate? Does this involve defining

a new plot type?

You can generate any plots you want with any content you want.  So yes.

Hmmm - I answered your questions as written.  Yes there is a way.  Yes that is how you do it.

In addition to Greg's suggestion, you might zero in on https://weewx.com/docs/latest/customizing.htm#image_generator within that document after you get through the whole thing a couple times.  Look at your existing skins for how they're set up.  How to create new or modified images should start to make more sense after you work through the docs that are available.
