Database only operation

Hi, I'm new here and have a problem with config.

I set up Weewx in simulator mode and sql datatabase.

That works fine :-)

I set up my own station based on a Rasberry zero and some sensors.

I can write into the weex mysql database.

What have i set up in the station section that Weewx only reads teh database for evaluation visualisaton and don't use an station hardware or simulates weather data??

Hello Graham,

thanks for your answer.

I don't want tu use a commercial weather station.
I have built my own that writes e.g. every one minute the values in the original Weewx sql database.

Now i want to configure Weewx in a way that it only reads and visualize the database data. without any communication with a weather station.

MyStation ----> Database <-----> Weewx

I think the way to do this is to write a driver that reads the SQL and fills out the data dictionary. And probably doesn't have a database binding either so it doesn't try to write back to the database.

Hi,

many thanks for your suggestions!
I found a simple solution for my problem.
I installed the fileparse driver and pointed it to an empty file.
So, now Weewx only reads the database and generates the charts etc.
