Afternoon - i have a test node red dashboard at:

https://digitalurban.fred.sensetecnic.com/api/ui/#/1

Using MQTT and the Weewx ClientRaw extension for data - the max temps for outside and inside in the Client Raw are wrong (the parser at https://saratoga-weather.org/wdparser/) breaks it down, our clientraw is at http://weather.casa.ucl.ac.uk/weewx/clientraw.txt

Any ideas would be great...

Hi,

When you say 'MQTT and the Weewx ClientRaw extension' what exactly are you running? I presume the weewx-mqtt uploader? If so what does your [StdRESTful] [[MQTT]] stanza look like? Clientraw wise are you using the realtime clientraw extension or the clientraw portion of WeeWX-WD or something else?

Thanks for the reply - i am using MQTT for the loop data via the set up used for the Belchertown page - but using the weewx-realtime_clientraw for the max min data...

Ok, thanks Andy. Been a while since I put together the core of weewx-clientraw, I just had a quick look and didn’t see an obvious issue. Thought it could have been an incorrect C to C or F to F conversion but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Will look into it.

A couple of things, what unit system are you running in your WeeWX database, US, METRIC or METRIC_WX (target_unit setting under [StdConvert] in weewx.conf) ? Also what station type/driver do you have?

I think you need a far better problem definition here.

What does your database show ?
What does your display show ?
What does the input file 'to' your display show ?

For example - it's certainly possible to define a dashboard incorrectly and have it not display what you 'think' you told it to display

I am using Metrix WX and a Vantage Pro - i thought i would try to see if weewx-wd gave the same result - ie to rule out the database which seems correct.

weewx-wd is working fine and i could not see any reason why the wee-wx realtime was throwing out an odd figure just on outdoor temp.

My system is behind a work firewall so its not as easy to reach to debug as normal but weewx-wd seems to be working..

Thanks. That gives me enough to work on. There is definitely an issue with the realtime clientraw; not too many places have a daytime max of 64C which is what I saw in your clientraw.txt last night.

Interesting, I am looking at your node red dashboard, Belchertown main page and realtime clientraw.txt at 5:30am 3 October your time and they all agree in terms of day min and max outTemp. When I look at your clientraw.txt (link from your first post) it updates every 5 minutes, is that link now giving access to the WeeWX-WD clientraw.txt? If so any chance of going back to the realtime clientraw.txt or placing the realtime clientraw.txt elsewhere so I can see/parse it. Would be handy to work out under what circumstances things go awry.
