Replace barometer readings

Hi, 

i have a wh1080se weather station, and the console is not showing anymore the barometric pressure.

I have weewx installed and unfortunately,without the baremoeter, noaa are not being generating anymore.

I have several barometric sensor since i do some iot projects, i was wondering if i can add one of those sensors(bmp180,bmp280 and others) to a gpio pin of raspberry where weewx is running and "replace" the barometric reading with this new sensor instead of the one of the console.

In this way,noaa will be generated again?

Yes you can I use one of these https://www.adafruit.com/product/2651 connected to a RPi 3B running WEEWX and a SDR dongle to collect signals from my WH1081(Maplin clone) outdoor sensors as my console died,. I used this driver https://gitlab.com/wjcarpenter/bme280wx which adds the pressure/temp/humidity from the BME280 into the data from the SDR. This is on WEEWX 4.10.2 don't know if the driver works with later versions.

Hi,

In your case is different since you do not have the console at all,I was wondering if I can do as I described In my original post,maintaining the console and replacing only the barometer and having again NOAA correctly generated,like my console never lost the barometer "signal".

I'm fairly sure you can still use the driver I linked to, it's not just for use with sdr, it integrates the BME280 data with the station data that the weewx loop is collecting, so if your console is connected via usb it should still work. There's more details in the readme for the driver ( follow the link I posted)
