First to note that the variety of IP camera brand and models are much extensive. Most cameras allow direct access to IP camera through a URL into web-browser, and you should must verify this URL address and capability. In case of not possible, or difficulties, may also upload to a photo hosting website (as Lookr.com).

There are many ways to accomplish this regarding Belchertown skin. With the camera URL in hand, the easier way is to replace address into "radar_html" in 'skin.conf'.

Then Windy radar (or other) can be posted under 'index_hook_after_charts.inc", for example.

As I mentioned in previous posting, there are a great variety of camera brands and models with different settings and capabilities (which is beyond this Forum). Having a "click" button might refers to a specific client camera software.

1) Live Stream IP Camera
Usually a Live Stream IP Camera is expensive or need an external Encoding software/hardware. Check: RPi Live Stream Camera

2) Snapshot
Instead of Live Stream, most IP cameras are capable of snapshots through URL or other protocol. To note, direct image URL.... NOT to reach your camera management or client software.

For example, my camera is a C2 Reolink, and I can acquire a snapshot thorough the following command:

http://(ip address)/cgi-bin/api.cgi?cmd=Snap&channel=0&rs=(any combination of numbers and letters)&user=(user name)&password=(user password)

Please, check your camera manual and/or OEM website as it might be there something similar.

3) 3rd Party Software
Would also suggest to play with an external image client software in you mobile device, like TinyCAM (https://tinycammonitor.com/). You may learn a lot from setting up your camera to a client mobile software (even the free version), as there are many protocols, ports and port-routing that can be addressed.

Try one of these URLs

For MJPEG - http://IPADDRESS/cgi-bin/video.cgi?msubmenu=mjpg

For JPG - http://IPADDRESS/cgi-bin/video.cgi?msubmenu=jpg

and see if they work for you with the Samsung.

Or some form of

http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@IPADDRESS/cgi-bin/video.cgi?msubmenu=mjpg&user=USERNAME&pwd=PASSWORD

You have to get the authentication in the URL with some of these cams.  I don't have any Samsung cams so I can't test.

Patrick, Robert et all

In parallel direct emails, I already have provided all the possible "combinations" as to connect Samsung camera. As in my preliminafy post, there are a large range of cameras and capablities nowadays, which surpass the main field of this Forum.

I do acknoedge the hardshift difficulties, as I always have a Tech battle my own, but related question was already answred in my first and preliminary post (as it relates to WeeWX).

Now, it must rest, or to pursue OEM camera support resolution.

hello Robert and Xant

thanks for your help all twice

So, after more research on Website Samsung, I upgraded the firmware of
my Camera IP.

version 2.10 to 4.00 ( my version was very old );

After I retested with Firefox and IE : no good; with Chrome : GOOD !!!!! why

I modified skin.conf: no good; I had an idea ; I modified the file
"about.inc" and it works.

again thanks to Xant and Robert, you can see my weather station here:

"http://jurassikpat.ddns.net/weewx/belchertown"

bye

Patrick

Is this an static Image, other than a direct snapshot from camera? (image doesnt seems to update)

Anyhow, in "skin.conf", just replace radar_html to point to camera/image:

Original:

radar_html = "<img src="http://appnea.net:8000/stream.mjpg" width="480" height="360">"

To something like:

radar_html = "<img src="http://jurassikpat.ddns.net/weewx/belchertown" width="480" height="360">"

Try to also adjust to a similar viewing format from Belchertown skin, as it is horizontal instead of vertical.

Also to note that can make use of "index_hook"s to insert image, radar or other.

(addendum)

Also to note that the image/map that you posted as PWS Logo in your WeeWX is extremely big, and not suitable to such (it takes a while to load). Thus, consider resizing.

Please, acknowledge the following as a "constructive criticism", which should be taken as incentive and contribution (not the other way around).

1) IP Camera

Your IP Camera has not been resolved outside. My speculation is that might been solve inside your home network, but not outside (always double check if you can reach from outside, using a mobile phone or else).

Also, it seems that you trying to post a video instead of a snapshot. In most cases, this will NOT work. As I mentioned in previous post, it requires extended software/hardware. That said, avoid Live Stream Video at this point, and try snapshot.

If having difficulties to direct post snapshot from camera, try a service liker https://www.lookr.com/ . Lookr is a free service, which provides some extra features as timelapse recording.

For example, here is my window camera: https://www.lookr.com/lookout/1516217130-Clifton-Park

Once you have your camera to Lookr, they provide an easy link to embed into your website.

2) Weather camera
Im assuming this is to be a weather camera. That said, a snapshot of the car/garage doesnt cut. Your visitors want to see the weather outside.

3) Logo
Your logo indeed better. Can be smaller still and without the side legend. Is the big "P" the location of your PWS? You may want to have something "cleaner" that best indicate your site location.

Best, X

hello Xant;

just some information for understanding.
1- The photo with the cars and garage, it is to visualize the meteo station (on the mat). So this is just a photo like PAT did on his website Meteo.
2 - the picture of the IP Camera would normally be next, this is the mistake you see; me locally on my LAN it works perfectly, I tested jpg and mjpg (I had attached in a previous mail a photo with the mention PORTAL).
3 - I'm looking at your site Clifton Park.
4 - I will look for improved Map of Home and not P is PARIS; I live below the name ESSONNE "the Rotoir".

in any case, thank you for your comments.

1) A photo from PWS is one thing. Intent of a WX webcam is another.

2) Always check internal vs external net access.

3) I'm glad (and surprised) that you reached my WeeWX website, as it is not "publicized" and still in "Beta". The temporary address:

4) WX Logo is like a Company logo: small, relevant to your site, and may (or may not) point to a map.
