I am in the process of setting up a "test" system to enable me to get to grips with modifying the web interface of my weewx site.

My "live" system is running on a Raspberry Pi 4Band the "test" system is running on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W.

In the firs hour of operations, I've noticed that some values differ slightly between instances. For example, the "live" systesm says the temperature is 29.1C while the "test" system is showing 29.4C.

Similarly, there is a 1% difference between the humidity readings from both instances.

Whilst this is no big deal for testing purposes, I'm a bit concerned about which system is showing the correct values.

Is there any know issues with two instances interrogating a GW2000 at the same time?

Cheers,
Alan

if it is the same GW2000, and you have not configured calibration in either weewx instance, then i would expect the readings are different simply because they were at different times (there is a margin for error on each reading taken, plus the real value itself might indeed have changed)

I run a setup with 3 weewx instances reading from two different GW2000, update Intervall 10 seconds. There can be different readings, because the devices aren't queried at the same time. The shorter the interval, the less likely you will recognize those differences.

OK thanks.

It seems the readings have basically aligned themselves over the last few hours anyway.

Cheers.
