Hello,
After many tests, I managed to install weewx on a Pi3.
He sent his files once via FTP. But, it was the page of 11/26/20 13:35:00 while it was 11/29. Later, 4:55 pm arrived, and since nothing
The page: https://cambier.eu/meteo/weewx/
Here is the log after a reboot of the pi, then of the restart of weewx (debug = 1)

The configuration file is located here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ywoqpzvarxnhwy3/Config_WeeWx_Anonyme.txt?dl=0
Do you have a lead for me?
Thank you !

Hello and thank you for the reply
but, sorry, I don't know where the weewx logs are

In the meantime, I tested with "screen" if the data logger was on the right port and it's ok

good to you

From your very limited description, I would say that your Vantage is suffering from a classic case of memory corruption. Here are the directions for how to fix it.

But, without the log, there is no way to be sure.

Hello,
Sorry, super newbie here, I will now think of your solution for log files.
Yes I also thought of console memory corruption and used this solution ... to no avail

It appears that you are using MySQL, but did not install the client libraries.

See the section Configuring MySQL in the User's Guide.

Hello,
I tried installing MySQL according to the reference you gave me ... which doesn't work (I go through the google translator)
"
pi @ pi-meteo: ~ $ sudo apt install mysql-client
Reading Package Lists ... Done
Building the dependency tree
Reading status information ... Done
No version of the mysql-client package is available, but it exists in the database. This usually means that the package is missing, has become obsolete, or is only available from another source.
However, the following packages replace it:
   mariadb-client-10.0

E: The "mysql-client" package has no version that can be installed
pi @ pi-meteo: ~ $ sudo mysql --user = root
sudo: mysql: command not found
"

Yes. Some Linux distributions have been including mariadb, instead of mysql. You will have to install mariadb instead.

Honestly, if you do not know how to do that, you should use sqlite instead of mysql/mariadb.

Hello,

Yes it is the MariaDb version that I had installed.

The config and syslog files are located in this folder:  https://www.dropbox.com/sh/osg6aiqspyts5ju/AADI6aws4ljAYTUhyP9Pkpqia?dl=0

Therefore :
"screen / dev / ttyUSB0 19200" works as expected.
The weewx database is indeed created with a first and unique registration and sends by FTP to https://cambier.eu/meteo/weewx/
After a reboot, some recordings were added.
The time status is ok: "
pi @ pi-meteo: ~ $ timedatectl status
Local time: Fri 2020-12-11 10:12:35 CET
Universal time: Fri 2020-12-11 09:12:35 UTC
                  RTC time: n / a
Time zone: Europe / Brussels (CET, +0100)
System clock synchronized: yes
               NTP service: active
           RTC in local TZ: no
"
After 5 minutes 15 minutes of data has been added to https://cambier.eu/meteo/weewx/

This stops at 12/06/20 23:55:00

Yours truly

This appears to be a classic case of memory corruption in your Davis logger. See the section WeeWX generates HTML pages, but it does not update them in the Wiki.

Ok, here we go again. However, I had already served before.

Do these (small) Vantage Vue consoles have a limited lifespan? Like SD cards with limited rewrite count?

What are your opinions?

You are not giving us much information. What do you mean by "Here we go again"? That the memory in the logger is corrupt again?

If so, did you clear the logger memory as per the instructions in WeeWX generates HTML pages, but it does not update them

Earlier, you posted part of the system log. However, it is important that you post the log from startup. Stop weewx, then restart. Post the log from startup through the first reporting cycle. Instructions are in the wiki article.

Oh, translation problem "Here we go again", it is to say that everything starts again normally, that it works.
It seems to me to be a recurring problem on these small consoles (I have two of them) I wanted to know if, like an SD card, their memory has a limited lifespan.

OK, now I understand! In English, "Here we go again" is usually referring to a recurring problem! But, I think you are saying that things are working normally. Great!

Generally, the VantageVue is extremely reliable.

The logger is very reliable, but I have heard of a few failing --- maybe 3 or 4 in the 14 years I've been writing software for them. However, memory corruption is very common. It typically happens when changing the onboard clock. See the section Clock skew. But, if you avoid doing that, corruption problems are very rare. The last one I had on my logger was maybe 5+ years ago.

There is no SD card involved.

I have found that power interruptions, whether accidental or intentional, can also be a cause of memory corruption.

Big +1 on that. A UPS is essential for reliable 7x24 operation. I have one an an RPi that has been running without a crash for nearly 2 years.
