Degree_Days

Hello everyone,

I think I have a problem converting the Degrees_Days.

Here's an example:

The number of Cool Deg Days is strange.

Attached is the excerpt from skin.conf

    [[DegreeDays]]
        # This section sets the base temperatures used for the calculation
        # of heating and cooling degree days.

        # Base temperature for heating days, with unit:
        heating_base = 18.3, degree_C
        # Base temperature for cooling days, with unit:
        cooling_base = 18.3, degree_C

Or is the calculation correct?

The calculation is done on a day-by-day basis. You're only showing the monthly summary. We would have to see the average temperature for each day in one of those months.

Take July. The cooling degree days for the month is shown as 33.3ºC. That could be because one of those days was super hot 18.3+33.3=51.6ºC (hot!), or it could be because all 30 days were just 1ºC above 18.3º. From what is shown, we don't know.

I'm not sure what the question is. 

From your annual summary, the number of cooling degree days for July is 33.3. From the monthly summary, it's 32.9. That's a slight difference, which could be there for any number of reasons. Is this your question? Or, something else?

Hey,
Maybe I didn't understand the system of heat and cold sum. According to mtwetter.de the cold total is around 3-5 degrees C. According to my homepage it is 157.
