Can't reach the weewx.com site ....
Anyone else has the same observation ??

I tried to connect all the time via https

all browsers provide the same reply - can't connect (https)

the tracert was just an example

but it shows that the route goes through until Seattle where the site is hosted.

I meant it that way. I can reach the site with my browser, and it is displayed. See screenshot.

I remember some incident when a certain website in China was not available at work, but it was available at home. It turned out a problem of the Internet provider, who was different at work and at home.

weewx.com should be working now.  auto-updates borked the nginx configuration.

also, the map should work with either http or https.  this was fixed some time ago.  if it does not work for you, please let us know.

Funny. I just looked for my station on the map and it's not there. register_this_station = true is in weewx.conf

Hmm. The problem is likely on my end. If you go to my IP address, it doesn't redirect to the index.html. If you're doing any checking it will likely fail. I have a static IP and don't pay for a DNS service

Yes, right now the URL to reach your weewx homepage is:

http://76.14.66.135/weewx/

You could put a index.html with a redirect in your parent directory or change the defaults for your webserver.

That's all downstream from the registration process. If I understand you correctly, you're saying the station is not even getting registered.

Stations are indexed by their URL, which must be unique. It's whatever you put in for option station_url in weewx.conf. What's that?
