weewx 4.10 no longer generates pages with current data

Hi,
since this morning weewx generates HTML pages with always the same content.  Date, time and weather data are always the same although the pages are regenerated every 5 minutes.
According to the debug trace, the data is read from the weather station, but the database is not updated. A check of the database showed no error.  Weewx was running without problems before.
Vantage Pro2
RaspberryPi GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)

Since removing the power supply did not help, I assume that the data logger is defective
as Workarount  I have now set the option  

record_generation = software

in weewx.conf, but weewx still queries the logger memory and still does not update the pages.
What could be the cause?

I was probably a bit too impatient, in the meantime the weather data has been updated again.
