I have been noticing a change in tone here.
You may (or may not) be the sole source of wisdom for a particular topic.
That doesn't mean you get to ignore basic manners and politeness.
If you have the knowledge to help with a problem, do it.
If the question isn't clear ask for clarification.
If the query is incomplete, just post the link to the guidelines.
Unless there is actually only 'One True Way' don't disparage other methods that work.
If you are spending time answering the same questions over and over, either create a wiki entry covering it and provide the link or skip a few posts. Being frustrated/angry/snide isn't helping anyone.
Like I said, it isn't one or two posts, it's just the general tone/feeling of this group that IMO has went downhill in the past months. I like the group and don't want to see it turn into the Linux forums of old where people take pleasure in comparing their arcane knowledge of this or that while never actually answering legitimate questions from newbies.
