So I just got an AcuRite weather station for some lessons with Civil Air Patrol.  I want to hook this up to a Pi and record information from multiple sensors that we have available.

According to the manual it's a model 06006
The back of the station says it's a model 01036A1

Other than that there is a MAC address.

Scanning /dev/hidaw I get this:

Vendor:   1133
Product:  49963
Path:     /dev/hidraw0

Vendor:   7847
Product:  16401
Path:     /dev/hidraw2

Vendor:   7847
Product:  16401
Path:     /dev/hidraw3

If I unplug the station I get the same thing.  I also don't see any changes in my /dev/tty, or in /dev at all actually.  Kinda strange it's like there is nothing there to look at.

Anyone had any experiences like this, I tried searching the group but my google fu pretty much sucks.

For a few split seconds I do see a hidraw1 but not long enough to get anything off of it :(

When in doubt look at your /var/log directory and run the 'dmesg' command as well.
You'll need to sudo to get root privs of course.
