Skymap usage in WeeWx skins

As per this page, to be sure I understand it right, I should be able to use In any installed skin (like Belchertown)

$almanac.skymap

to display the map, is that accurate?

Yes that is entirely possible, here’s an example with the DivumWX skin: -
