Weewx fileparse

Hello,

I am trying to use the fileparse driver with weewx.

i have a self made weather station writing a file weewxdatafilee to the server.

until now it works more ore less.

I'm intrested about timing. in which interval the weather station shold genarate a new file?

is it reccommended to have a dateTime entry in the file?
