weewx trouble shoot

Hi,

I had weewx and my Tempest weatherflow udp running for a couple weeks and worked well. Last weekend we had a power failure and I haven't been able to get it to work since. I tried it on another pi also. So Im not sure if its not working right or if its not grabbing the UDP packets. I can do commands on the pi if I know what to put in. Anyone know what might be going on?

I'd start by reading and following https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/faq-how-to-report-a-problem

That said, my 'guess' is that you have possibly have weewx.conf configured with a ip address for the hub and that after you took the power failure the hub came up the next time on a different ip address...

oops - forget the ip address stuff I posted earlier. I have ecowitt on the brain. Sorry about that.

But follow the FAQ and wiki and set debug=1 and restart weewx, and then look at your syslog. For WF if you want to see if your pi is hearing the UDP broadcasts, I have a standalone listener at https://github.com/vinceskahan/weatherflow-udp-listener that you might try. The github page has instructions for usage. Hit control-C twice to exit.

Thanks. It appears that something was corrupt on the card. Ran it on a new one and everything works. Thanks again and Happy Easter
