I see some references to interfacing "Vantage Vue" to weewx, but the console does not appear to have any ports on it.  Has this been successfully interfaced?

We intend to install WeeWX with an APRS interface (Direwolf) so we can broadcast  weather data to APRS for local use by our hospitals.

Thanks,
Brian

Does the Davis datalogger no longer work with a Vue ?

Or did you buy the new Vue with the touchscreen console ?

I haven't purchased anything yet. We're just building the purchase order and wanted to be sure what we ordered would work before we ordered it.  I know that's not typical, but we decided to do a little planning on this one :).

There is not clarity, but

there used to be consoles, for VP2 and vue, into which you could plug
a "datalogger", which had a serial or USB port. This worked without
the cloud and recorded data while the power was out and the computer
was down.

recently there are some new consoles. These seem to send data to the
cloud, and you might or might not be able to get it back. It's not
clear if it records or not while the internet/power is down. There is
wailing and gnashing of teeth and it is not clear how terrible this
is, but if you need internet and can't get our data without 1)
something out there working and 2) keeping it private, it is in fact
terrible. Be very careful.
