Custom file customization XML

Hi Guys.
I have the problem that the mintime and maxtime always show the seconds. 
I do not want these. I have this $ day.outTemp.maxtime and the result is 12:35:03. But I want, that I get only 12:35. 
How can I adjust this? I can see the XML here: https://meteo-oberwallis.ch/wetter/thun/XML/daten.xml

There's an example that covers this.

Thanks for the link. It worked now. .format ("% H:% M") is the solution.
