Hi,

Even though I've successfully upgraded to the latest version of weewx several times over the past few years, the ui still shows "weewx v3.8.2" when I view the page as well as showing the incorrect uptime for weewx and server.

I just upgraded to 3.9.2 today and it showed the correct version during the upgrade: "Setting up weewx (3.9.2-1) ..."

But the web page still shows this information, which hasn't changed since back when I did the 3.8.2 upgrade:
Weewx uptime: 0 days, 0 hours, 7 minutes
Server uptime: 10 days, 4 hours, 18 minutes
weewx v3.8.2

I'm running debian 7 on a pi.

Any suggestions on where the issue may lie? Thanks!

How'd you upgrade - setup.py or dpkg ?

If it's dpkg, you can audit which package is installed.  If it's setup.py then that string comes from weewx.conf if memory serves.  Did you perhaps overwrite it with an old version of that file ?

It's possible it could be corrupted memory, but you didn't say what kind of hardware you have. As always, it would be helpful to see the log. Set debug=1, restart weewx, post the log through the first archive interval.

Thank you, Vince!

I initially used setup.py for the original install in 2014 and then all upgrades up until 3.8.2 in November 2018. I then started using apt-get install sometime after that, which I thought was working, but wasn't. Based on your post, I realized I had two instances of weewx installed; 3.8.2 which is the last time I used setup.py in November 2018 and then a separate install from apt-get which is the one I've been updating for the past year, but wasn't actually using it.

I backed up my archive databases and completely uninstalled/removed all reference to weewx and then installed from scratch using apt-get. I now see version 3.9.2 on the ui (which also has a completely different format than 3.8.2 ui) and everything is working as it should. Thanks for sending me in the right direction!

If you check your weewx.conf you can turn off the new Seasons skin and go back to the old Standard one if you want.  Just edit the file and restart weewx and it'll use the old-style skin if you like that better.

Glad it was a simple fix.
