Index file written with date in the future

This situation has happened twice in 3 days. I don't know of any condition that might cause it.

The index file has a date in the header that is 12 hours in the future.

The software was running as expected until 15:30 today. Then the local server quit serving the index.html in var/www/html/weewx/.

The images appear to be for the current conditions, but the date and time are in the future.

weewx has continued to write the images for current conditions, but with the date in the future. 

As you can see from the attached image, data for the time period 18:30 through the future time of about 2:50 is missing. Then the plot continues with data from about 20:25. 

The time on the console is correct. The time from the hardware clock matches. 

I have stopped weewx. and examined the var/log/syslog.

(I noted earlier today that it appears that weewx is successfully posting to wunderground-PWS )

The bit about2.debian.pool.ntp.org timing out is strange, but I don't know what has happened or how to fix the current predicament.

I assume this is from the initial startup, using a Vantage station? Did you filter this log output? It's just showing posts to the WU, but it should also show details about what's going in the database.

It's possible your issue is corrupted memory in the logger, but it's hard to say without more data.

Thanks for the reply. More info: 

Vantage Pro 2+, RPi 3B 1.2, weewx 3.9.2

Not on startup. Runing for a couple o days since similar event last Sunday. It didn't occur to me to filter the log - grep? for what? ????

The date/time got moved forward 12 hours. I don't know what the lines about NTP server timed out. 

The first time this happened, I left weewx running, nothing being updated because the index.html file didn't change, but it appeared the the images were current. As this was happening, nothing appeared to be written to the database. Updating of the index.html page began when the current time reached the "future" time.

Is there some way to reset the day/time that weewx is using? (There is so much I don't know.)

Well, let's just assume that this is a case of memory corruption.
