VP2 w/ Meteobridge and weewx communications

Problem: weewx is not reading records from Davis Vantage Pro2

Linux-5.10.103-v7+-armv7l-with-debian-10.13

Due to storm(Helene) issues I stopped weewx last Thursday late afternoon. (Last Updated record in weewx is September 26, 2024, 6:05:00 PM). The weather station is a Davis Pro2 wireless w/ Meteobridge. After 40+ hours the Meteobrige UPS started alarming so I shut the Meteobridge off. Sunday afternoon, I ran a desktop long enough to start Davis Weatherlink program(ver 6.0.3)  and grabbed all the data. After I got all the records from the console, I stopped the console & took the outside unit apart & cleaned out the wasps, spiders & dirt. After a good cleaning, everything went back together (no extra parts) and the console started receiving data. Monday afternoon, our power was restored and I restarted Weatherlink and again retrieved data. Weatherlink got all the records from the console, mising only the time I had everything powered off and dis-assembled.

Now, when I restart the weewx, it starts without error. Everything starts normal, except it does not read any records from the VP2 console. Previously when I have had problems getting weewx to retieve records from the console, I uas able to use wee_device and/or wee_database to re-sync weewx & VP2. Both of these commnds are now giving an ERROR: "python3: can't open file '/usr/share/weewx/wee_database': [Errno 2] No such file or directory". Since it has been years since I last used wee_device, I suspect that in doing a weewx or python update, a link or path did not update.

1. How do I correct the "cannot open ..." error ?
2. Will the "wee_database", "wee_device" restore the weewx/Vantage communication?

The wee_xyz commands do not exist in weewx v5.  They were all replaced by weectl and its various options.  See https://www.weewx.com/docs/5.1/utilities/weectl-about/ for details.

You should also update to current 5.1.0 when you get a chance after you get things working.   There is a significant bug in 5.0.0 that was fixed in later releases.  See https://groups.google.com/g/weewx-development/c/8lysLv96Vmk for details on that one.
